Eddie is a Pentium II 350 with a SCSI disk and whatever memory I had lying around (both apparently quite plentiful).

The original Eddie was a SPARCclassic, then a SPARCstation 4. Eddie believes in reincarnation and is quite happy about it. So am I. Eddie is much faster and more helpful now, and besides, the Sun monitor I had hooked up to these machines seems to have committed suicide.

Among other things, Eddie raises the ambient temperature near my desk.
